The following are drawings done for Gayle Donahue's Drawing Concepts class. The rough idea was doing sets of drawings emulating the styles of other artists, with the same subject throughout. Like many of my classmates, I decided to do self-portraits. In the end we presented portfolios of 72 drawings spanning 18 different artists. Highlights from what I did:
After Aubrey Beardsley:

After Ed Ruscha:

After Shel Silverstein:

After Alphonse Mucha:

After Amedeo Modigliani:

After Claire Wendling:

After Allen Cober:

After Phil Hale:

After David Hughes:

After Aya Tanako:

After Audrey Kawasaki:

After Don Bachardy:

I really like the first one after Aya Tanako. I googled the name but nothing relevant came up so I have no idea where its coming from.
What's the story behind it?
